Add Existing Project

Use this option to add another Studio project to the current solution. Using multiple projects in a solution lets you edit related projects within a single solution container and to add referenced projects to a main project. To add an existing project, right-click the solution in Solution Explorer and select Add > Existing Project. The Add Existing Project window is displayed.

Use this window to go to the folder containing the Studio project you want to add and select the project file (.osproj). Adding an existing project does not copy the project files to the solution folder.

Note: Each project within a solution must be uniquely named. If the existing project you are attempting to add to the solution has the same file name as a project already in the solution, you will receive this error message:

The solution already contains an item named xxxxx

Either rename the project that is already in the current solution, or change the name of the project you want to add.
