Choosing a Text adapter

When choosing a text adapter, you need to know what kind of emulator you will be using. There are these types of text adapters:

For specific adapters brands, you can often choose between COM and WinHllapi. Some types of emulator brands only support one or the other.

COM adapters should only be used with an older version of an emulator (that does not support WinHllapi) or that does not have a stable WinHllapi interface. Generic WinHllapi Adapters use the WinHllapi protocol.
