Numeric expressions

The numeric expression lets you perform standard mathematical functions in a solution such as multiplication, addition, and so on. When you place the numeric expression component on an automation a design block containing input for the initiating event and output result are contained within the block, along with an entry field for you to specify the expression. Expressions of undefined and defined Numeric Expression blocks are shown here:

Complete the expression by typing a numeric expression to evaluate. For more information, see General Component Properties, Methods, and Events.

The number of significant digits (precision) for the results of the expression.

For invalid expressions, messages regarding the invalid context display in this property.
