Configuring Studio to use the Deployment Portal

The Deployment Portal (formerly Management Console) is a required component of a Pega Robotic Automation version 6.1 - 7.1 implementations and also works with later version, such as version 8.0 and 8.0 SP1.

Note: Pega Robot Manager replaces Deployment Portal and offers additional features that you can use to manage robots. Pega Robot Manager works with Pega Robotic Automation 8.0 and later.

The Deployment Portal integrates with Studio and Runtime/Agile Desktop to help you manage the solutions you create in Studio as those solutions move through various deployment phases. The Deployment Portal also lets you easily update Runtime implementations across your organization. You can rapidly configure Runtime environments and deploy solutions with just a few clicks.

Connectivity settings for connecting Studio and Runtime/Agile Desktop with the Deployment Portal are stored in the CommonConfig.xml file.
