Studio's File menu options
The options available from the File option on the Robot Studio main menu let you create projects, add existing projects and files to a solution, and perform standard save, print, and open functions.

Description |
New |
Lets you create a project or file within an existing solution, or create a new solution for the item. If you select the New > Project option, the New Project window is displayed so you can select a project template and add a new project based on the chosen template. |
Open |
Lets you open a project, solution or solution file. The file types available for opening a project or solution are:

Add |
Lets you add a project to the solution or select a project to add to the solution.

Close |
Closes the active Designer window. For example, if an automation is currently displaying in the Designer, selecting the Close option will close the automation. If changes are pending, you are prompted to save the changes. |
Close Solution |
Closes the current solution. If changes are pending, you are prompted to save the changes. |
Save Selected Items |
Saves the currently selected items. |
Save All |
Saves all project items in the solution. |
Lets you select from the most recently accessed files. |

Recent Projects |
Lets you select from the most recently accessed solutions. You can adjust the number of recent solutions available for selection by altering the items shown in recently used lists setting on the Options window. For more information, see Configuration Options. |
Open Most Recent Solution |
Opens the last solution that was saved. |
Exit |
Closes Studio. If any changes are pending, you will be prompted to save the changes before exiting Studio. |
