Adding Toolbox Items
Use the Choose Toolbox Items dialog to add .NET components, Studio components, and Studio Static Members to the Toolbox.
To add a control or component to the Toolbox window, perform the following steps:
Click the View menu, and then select Toolbox. The Toolbox window is displayed.
Right-click the tab to which you want to add the object, and then select Choose Items. The Choose Toolbox Items window is displayed.
To add a component, use the .NET Framework Components tab. This tab lists all of the available components available from assemblies in the Global Assembly Cache as well as the Studio installation folder.
To locate components for a specific namespace, use the Filter text box. Enter the name of the namespace and the system filters the list of the available components listed on the .NET Framework Components tab.
Once you have located the component you want to add to the Toolbox, check the box next to the component name and click OK. The Choose Toolbox Items dialog closes and the component is added to the Toolbox.
To add a Static Member (method), begin by clicking the Static Members tab on the Choose Toolbox Items window.
Select the location of the assembly containing the static member you want to use. You have the following options.
From Directory Location - Browse to the assembly location and then select the assembly file. All of the available methods display on the tab. Place check marks next to the methods you want to add.
From Global Assembly Cache - Use the Assembly drop-down list to select the .NET assembly containing the method you want to add. All of the available methods display on the tab. Place check marks next to the methods you want to add.
Click OK. The Choose Toolbox Items dialog closes and the component or method is added to the Toolbox.
