Configuration file locations

The following Pega Robotic Automation configuration files are installed:

Robot Studio

Files are installed into the Application folder under the Pegasystems application installation folder.

Robot Studio Plug-in

Files are installed in the Studio Plug-in installation folder. Here is an example:

C:\Program Files\Pegasystems\Pega Robot Studio Plug-in

When a user runs Studio or the Studio Plug-in, copies of the configuration files modified with the user's settings are written to the Windows %LocalAppData% folder. Here is an example:

C:\Users\CurrentUser\My Documents\Pega Robot Studio Plug-in

By default, all Robot Studio diagnostic log files are also stored in the %AppData% folder. The SuperTrace files are stored in a subfolder (\SuperTraceLogs). Here is an example:

C:\Users\All Users\Application Data\Pega Robot Studio Plug-in

All Runtime diagnostic log files are stored in the %AppData% folder. Here is an example:

C:\Users\All Users\Application Data\Pega Robot Studio Plug-in

The SuperTrace files are stored in a subfolder (\SuperTraceLogs).

Robot Runtime

The OpenSpanRuntime.exe.config file, which contains general configuration settings for Robot Runtime, is located in the Robot Runtime installation folder.

Agile Desktop

An Interaction.xml file is created for each project and is stored in the root of the Projects folder. Here is an example:

C:\Users\YourName\Documents\Pega Robot Studio\Projects\ProjectName\Interaction.xml

You can assign a custom name to this xml file, just remember to update the name in the ConfigurationFile property when setting properties for Interaction Manager in Solution Explorer.

Connection configuration

The CommonConfig.xml file contains information necessary to connect to and work with Pega Robot Manager, Pega Workforce Intelligence, Idp servers, public automation servers, and other applications, This file is usually found in these locations:

C:\ProgramData\Pegasystems\CommonConfig.xml

Runtime Routing Service

The settings in the RdaRouter.config file contain information that the Runtime Routing Service uses to direct communications between Pega Platform™ applications and Robot Runtime clients that are hosted on virtual machine servers like a Citrix server or a Remote Desktop Service server. The RdaRouter.config file is installed with the Runtime Routing Service and is located in the following folder:
