Installing the system on a Citrix server and client
How you install the Pega Robotic Automation framework in a Citrix environment depends on how the Citrix servers are set up and where the applications reside that you will use in your Pega Robotic Automation solutions.
Usually, the applications reside on both the Citrix client desktops and Citrix servers. Typically, you would install Runtime on the Citrix clients and both Runtime and Studio on the servers. Install Studio on the server is so you can interrogate the applications installed there.
When publishing Runtime as an application on Citrix, command line suffixes must end in %* or %**, depending on the server/client mix. This matrix is current as of the release of Pega Robotic Automation 19.1.
Server | Client | Command Line |
Xenapp v7.x |
Receiver 4.x for Windows |

64-bit and mixed support
Studio and Runtime are compatible with 64-bit environments and is functional in mixed Citrix environments. To accommodate 32-bit/64-bit mixes, a mixed mode installs these Runtime executables.
64-bit: OpenSpan.Runtime.exe
32-bit: OpenSpan.Runtime32.exe
Note: Make sure that when you modify associated files such as the RuntimeConfig.xml file, you find and change the correct file associated with the 32- or 64-bit Runtime application.
