Match Rule Editor
You can display the Match Rule Editor by clicking Browse in the Text property for any Match Rule that uses the Text property. For example, the Window Text Match Rule for the Calculator application matches based on the Text "Calculator". An example of the Match Rule properties is shown below.
The Match Rule Editor lets you edit the way text is matched by a rule. The following example will match any text that ends with an "r".

Text |
This area includes the text for the Match Rule. It can include raw text or regex code. |
Mode |
This drop bar lets you select the search mode that the Match Rule uses. Modes include Contains, DoesNotContain, DoesNotEndWith, DoesNotStartWith, EndsWith, IsNotRegex, IsNotSimple,IsnotWildcard, Regex, Simple, StartsWith and WildCard. |
Culture |
This drop bar lets you select the culture used in the Match Rule. The default is the default user culture set on the user's machine however there are a number of other cultures based on geographic region available for selection. There are two other settings available, invariant culture and environment culture. |
IgnoreCase |
This check box instructs the Match Rule to ignore the case of text in the Text field. |
Escape |
The escape button lets you cause the Match Rule to ignore regex commands and search for the literal text in the Text field instead. This button is only enabled when the mode is set to regex. |
Test - Input Field |
Text entered here lets the user see if entered text matches the existing Match Rule. |
OK |
Creates the Match Rule and closes the Match Rule Editor |
Cancel |
This button closes the Match Rule Editor without making any changes to the Match Rule. |
